Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
  • Knowledge of the UK National Science Curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Lead safe, interactive practical experiments that bring scientific theories to life.
  • Track student progress, assess classwork, and provide clear feedback to help pupils excel.
  • Prepare Key Stage 4 students thoroughly for their GCSE Science examinations.
  • Maintain an organised, safe, and inspiring laboratory environment.
  • Uphold all school safeguarding policies to ensure a secure environment for every pupil.
  • Collaborate with the department to build modern teaching resources and run STEM extra-curricular clubs.
