About the role

Randstad has an opportunity available for a Note Taker to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College.

The ideal candidate will support students across all campuses by providing high-quality note-taking services throughout the academic year, starting in September 2026 until late May 2027.

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C and above or equivalent (Evidence required)
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent (Evidence required)
  • 6 months note-taking experience
  • 1 year of experience working with young people or adults to support them on their learning journey
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, clear, accessible and appropriately detailed notes for students in the required format
  • Attend lectures, tutorials and other classes and take notes as requested
  • Prepare for classes using resources available and engage in appropriate research to familiarise yourself with subjects and identify specialised vocabulary
  • Provide an accurate copy of the notes to students within an agreed time limit
  • Make any necessary reasonable adjustments to ensure support is delivered in an accessible manner as directed
  • Complete and return all relevant paperwork for each support relationship in a timely and accurate manner
