ABOUT THE CLIENT

We’re supporting a well-established, technology-focused consultancy that is continuing to invest heavily in its AI and data capability. With a strong focus on innovation, engineering quality, and responsible AI delivery, they are looking to appoint an experienced AI Engineering Lead to help shape and scale their growing function.

THE ROLE:

You’ll take ownership of leading and developing a high-performing AI engineering function, helping shape technical standards, delivery quality, and engineering best practices across multiple projects.

This role offers a blend of strategic leadership, client engagement, and hands-on technical delivery. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to design and deploy scalable AI solutions into production environments.

You’ll also play a key role in mentoring engineers, driving capability development, and evaluating emerging technologies across AI, machine learning, and LLM ecosystems. Alongside this, you’ll support workshops, solution design sessions, and technical decision-making while ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, and aligned to business outcomes.

AI ENGINEERING LEAD ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong commercial experience delivering AI solutions into production
• Excellent Python engineering skills
• Experience with Azure AI, Azure ML, Databricks, SageMaker, or similar cloud AI platforms
• Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and modern AI tooling
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and leading technical delivery
