The HGV Class 2 Driver Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering an essential frontline service, visiting both domestic and commercial customers to safely collect waste while providing a professional and customer-focused experience.

You’ll operate specialist tanker vehicles, work closely with the transport team and take part in an on-call rota to support emergency call-outs when required. This is far more than a driving role, offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a genuine difference within your local community.

HGV Class 2 Driver – Essential Skills

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Driver CPC qualification

• Digital Tachograph (Digi Card)

• Previous HGV driving experience

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively

• A safety-first approach with excellent attention to detail

• Waste management experience would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided
