Interim Revenue Accountant – Immediate Start

Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)

Salary  up to – £55,000

We are seeking an experienced Interim Revenue Accountant for an immediate start assignment with a global organisation. This is a key role within the finance function, supporting revenue accounting operations, month-end reporting, and process improvement initiatives during a period of business change and growth.

Reporting to the Global Revenue Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, robust financial controls, and efficient financial processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Manage and review revenue recognition processes in line with accounting standards and company policies
• Assist with order-to-cash activities and revenue-related analysis
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders across the business
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and SOX requirements
• Support ad hoc projects and business-critical finance initiatives

About You

• Proven experience within Revenue Accounting, Financial Accounting, or General Ledger roles
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and month-end processes
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred)
• Experience working within large or complex organisations
• Oracle ERP experience is advantageous
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
• Experience driving process improvements and automation initiatives
