Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Brighton, BN1

Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 06:00 – 10:00 (24 hours per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day cleaning operation within a busy retail store. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained while supporting the cleaning team and working closely with store management to deliver excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and assist with the general cleaning of the store to ensure it is ready for trade
• Operate cleaning machinery where required (full training will be provided)
• Work closely with the Area Manager and Store Management to ensure cleaning audits are successfully completed
• Update staff rotas and maintain site due diligence paperwork
• Manage holiday requests and provide cover for sickness when required
• Work independently and manage your own workload effectively
• Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and the management team
• Ensure all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
• Deal with any customer complaints or issues promptly and report them to the appropriate manager
• Be flexible to work additional hours when required to support the team

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is essential
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Right to work in the UK
• Good understanding of written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time
• High standards of personal hygiene and presentation
• Uniform provided – must be worn and maintained in a clean and presentable condition
