Senior Site Engineer (Geologist)

Glasgow, UK Fusion People Ltd Senior Site Engineer (Geologist / Ground Investigations) Salary - £36,000-£38,000 / year + van and fuel card Permanent Role Ground Investigation Contractor Site based - Glasgow/ Scotland A Senior Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Glasgow. You will be supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements. The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Earth Sciences) and a minimum of 2-3 years site investigation contracting experience. The client is seeking an individual with a contractor background, including hands-on field experience, who is also comfortable mentoring and supporting junior engineers. You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites. The client is a large, national and firmly established ground investigation contractor currently going through a period of expansion due to project wins.
