Technical Buyer
Location: OX10
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00–16:30 | 40 Hours per week

We are looking for a Technical Buyer to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the cost-effective purchasing of materials, components and services, ensuring the business has the right products, from the right suppliers, at the right time and cost.

You will manage key suppliers across Engines & Mechanicals, Composites and Technical Components, working closely with internal teams to support production and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders accurately and on time to meet business requirements.
• Ensure materials and components are delivered by the required dates.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Resolve purchasing, delivery and supply issues.
• Maintain accurate supplier and purchase order information on the ERP system.
• Keep PO delivery dates up to date on SAP.
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain continuity of supply.
• Identify potential supply issues and support continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in Buying, Purchasing or Procurement, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience with mechanical products, composites or technical components is advantageous.
• Experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and technical data.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and confident managing suppliers.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
