About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Assessment Manager, Sciences, to lead the development and implementation of assessment strategies within the scientific disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the assessment lifecycle, from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring that all assessments are rigorous, fair, and aligned with educational standards. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to design assessment tools that accurately measure student knowledge, skills, and competencies while adhering to best practices in assessment design and evaluation.
Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the creation and review of assessment materials, conducting data analysis to evaluate assessment effectiveness, and providing professional development and guidance for assessment teams. You will also engage with stakeholders, including educators and regulatory bodies, to align assessment practices with curriculum goals and policies. Strong leadership skills will be essential as you mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in assessment methodologies.
The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in a relevant field, with substantial experience in educational assessment, particularly in the sciences. You should demonstrate a deep understanding of assessment theory and practice, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as well as the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
