Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team!  This is a full-time position Monday – Friday working 37.5 hours a week on a fixed term basis based in our offices in Rochester.  Part- time hours will be considered for the right candidate  This position will require some heavy lifting, up to 25 – 30kg  Own Transport is Essential  Join our dynamic and welcoming team as a Warehouse Operative at our renowned company! The perfect candidate will be adaptable, a team player, and possess a proactive, problem-solving attitude with a passion for getting things right the first time.  Full duties for the role include but are not limited to : -  • Accepting Goods in when delivered  • Stock Control.  • Completing Stock takes when required.  • Operating forklift once licence has been attained.  • Operating Saw once training completed and certified.  • Cutting materials to order  • Picking and packing materials to order  • Overseeing general maintenance of warehouse, ensuring health and safety measures are maintained and adhered to.  • Overseeing cleaning and maintenance of Saw and Forklift  • Liaise with Customer service regarding stock issues.  • Liaise with Customer service regarding material or delivery complaints.  Qualifications  • Strong materials handling skills  • Ability to perform heavy lifting  • Willingness to learn and adapt to warehouse operations  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent  Pay: Up to £25,350 per year  Additional pay:  • Bonus scheme  Benefits:  • Casual dress  • Company pension  • On-site parking  • Profit sharing  • Sick pay  Schedule:  • Monday to Friday  Ability to commute/relocate:  • Rochester ME1 3QR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)  Education:  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)  Experience:  • Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)  Language:  • English (required)  Work authorisation:  • United Kingdom (required)  Work Location: In person
