Role: HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER Location: Maidstone Hours: Days and Nights Pay: Upto £23.35ph About the role Extrastaff Maidstone are searching for experienced HGV CLASS 1 DRIVERS for a established client of ours in Aylesford. As an HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER, you'll keep the retail operation flowing by ensuring their stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers. Based out of one of the national or regional distribution centres, you'll be transporting goods right across our supply chain network and shops in one of our LGV articulated vehicles. Benefits of a HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER: • Good rates of pay • Dedicated consultant • Temp Portal • Working for a established company  HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES: • Planning out your delivery journey, ensuring efficiency to support the smooth running of our supply chain operation. • Supporting the safe loading and unloading of your trailer. • Carrying out a full set of safety checks on your lorry. • Maintaining a full knowledge of the Highway code, WTD, EU Drivers Hours Regulations, the Partnership's Transport Partners handbook and the driver's training pack and adhere to them • Finding solutions to unexpected situations on the day and keeping the transport office up to date with your journey, communicating any problems and delays that might occur. • Reporting any vehicle issues appropriately. • Completing Supplier and Partnership documentation accurately. Essential skills/experience you'll need • A valid Manual UK LGV1 C + E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points). • A valid Driver Qualification Card (with up to date training) and a valid Tachograph Card. • Previous experience driving LGV (articulated vehicles) Desirable skills/experience you may have • Good local/national geographical knowledge
