Salary to £50k | Milleage Allowance | Annual Bonus | Pension | Gym Membership | 28 Days Holiday including Bank Holidays Assistant Q.S Key Essentials: * As an Assistant Q.S you will report to the Managing Q.S and be responsible for managing the preparation and submission of monthly applications for payment in line with contract requirements * Producing and issuing Early Warning Notices to ensure timely contractual communication and risk management * Assessing, pricing, negotiating and agreeing Compensation Events in accordance with NEC contract procedures * Supporting the tendering process by completing quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, compiling risk registers and responding to tender queries and clarifications * Measuring, valuing and processing subcontractor accounts while maintaining accurate commercial records and administration * Representing the commercial team at site progress meetings and commercial review meetings with contractors and key stakeholders Assistant Q.S Requirements: * As an Assistant Q.S you should ideally be profesionally qualified in Quantity Surveying, however strong industry experience and a proven career will also be considered * Previous experience working within the utilities sector is advantageous * Good understanding and application of NEC3/4 forms of contract * Proficient in Excel, with the ability to develop, manage and maintain project trackers and commercial records * Self-motivated and proactive, capable of taking ownership of projects and delivering results with minimal supervision. #qs #assistantqs #quantitysurveyor #telecom #power #gas #water #overhead #civils #underground #excavation #joint #nrswa #streetwork #commercial #nec #forecast #cvr #cmar #ewn #compensationevents #variations By applying for this position, you are agreeing for CVL:LDN to hold and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
