Monarch Education are working with secondary schools in the Malmesbury area who are looking for enthusiastic Supply Cover Supervisors to support pupils and staff from the start of the new academic year. The role As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task with the work provided and maintaining a positive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, experienced cover staff, teaching assistants, sports coaches, youth workers or anyone with strong classroom management skills who is looking to gain further experience within education on a flexible supply basis. You will be: * Supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 * Delivering pre-planned work set by the class teacher * Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies * Supporting pupils to stay focused, engaged and on task * Promoting a safe, calm and positive learning environment * Providing feedback to teaching staff where required * Working across a range of subjects and year groups * Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff * Following safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times We are looking for someone who is: * Confident working with young people in a secondary school setting * Calm, professional and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively * Flexible, reliable and adaptable * Able to communicate clearly with pupils and staff * Organised and proactive * Positive, enthusiastic and resilient * Able to follow lesson plans and school procedures * Passionate about supporting young people's learning and development Requirements: * Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or education setting * Strong behaviour management and communication skills * Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one * Right to work in the UK * Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks Apply now If you are looking for flexible Supply Cover Supervisor work in Malmesbury from September, we would love to hear from you.
