Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join a leading industrial business covering sites across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

This is a permanent opportunity for a time-served electrician with experience in industrial, heavy industry or manufacturing environments. You'll play a key role in maintaining electrical systems and equipment, responding to breakdowns and delivering preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key Duties
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Maintain and repair motors, electrical panels and associated equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of electrical projects.
  • Safely maintain and work with motor control systems, switchgear, conveyors and PLCs.
  • Carry out effective electrical fault finding and identify practical solutions.
  • Complete maintenance work in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Ensure all electrical maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Work proactively to identify potential faults and prevent equipment failures.
  • Support the wider maintenance team across industrial sites as required.
Requirements
  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician within a heavy industrial, manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and experience suitable for heavy industry.
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • 17th or 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with motors, control panels, switchgear, conveyors and/or PLC systems.
  • Computer literate with the ability to complete relevant maintenance records.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and electrical compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable due to the site-based nature of the role.
