About the role
We are seeking a dedicated A&E Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within the Accident & Emergency department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment by monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to assess situations and provide support in crisis scenarios, ensuring a calm and secure atmosphere at all times.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy. Responsibilities include enforcing hospital policies, reporting security breaches or suspicious activities, and providing assistance during medical emergencies. You will also be required to collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, documenting incidents accurately and maintaining comprehensive records. A background in security or law enforcement is preferred, along with a valid SIA license.
