We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Hastings, supporting a young person with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. Weekly pay £14.25 + per hour

The Role
Working on a dedicated 1:1 basis, you’ll support a pupil who requires additional emotional, behavioural and educational support throughout the school day.
You’ll become a consistent, encouraging presence, helping them regulate emotions, engage with learning and celebrate every achievement along the way.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.
Building a positive, trusting relationship with your pupil.
Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour.
Helping pupils access learning in a way that works for them.
Encouraging independence, confidence and resilience.
Working closely with teachers and therapeutic professionals to implement personalised support plans.
Managing challenging behaviours calmly and positively.
Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
Recording progress and celebrating successes—no matter how small.
