Graduate Classroom Supervisor (Primary School)

Location: Durham

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Full-Time

Start Date: September 2026

We are recruiting for a Graduate Classroom Supervisor to work in a welcoming Primary School in the Durham area on an ongoing basis throughout the 2026–27 academic year.

As a Classroom Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher, supporting pupils across the primary age range. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and classroom activities in the absence of the class teacher
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Follow the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
• Support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and positive behaviour
• Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress and engagement
• No lesson planning or marking required

• A graduate-level qualification
• A genuine passion for education and supporting children
• Confident, patient and adaptable with excellent communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
