We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly skilled Class Teacher to join our dedicated team in our specialist primary school for children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to the lives of children with complex learning needs. The successful candidate will create an engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their individual potential.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have experience of working with children with severe and complex learning needs, including pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Demonstrate a strong understanding of early child development and be able to apply this knowledge to plan highly personalised learning experiences.
Have experience of adapting the curriculum to meet a wide range of learning, communication, sensory and physical needs.
Be skilled in using a range of communication approaches, including visual supports and alternative and
augmentative communication (AAC), or be willing to develop these skills.
Be committed to promoting pupils' independence, communication, wellbeing and personal development.
Work collaboratively with families and a wide range of multidisciplinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Be reflective, resilient and committed to continual professional development.
