Year 2 Teacher (Job Share) – Primary School, DN4

Location: DN4, Doncaster
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Fixed Term (1 Academic Year)
Working Pattern: 4 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday) – Thursdays Off

A welcoming and supportive primary school in the DN4 area is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a one-year fixed-term basis.

This is a job share position, working four days per week, with Thursdays not required. The successful candidate will work closely with their job share partner to ensure continuity of learning and maintain high standards across the class.

The Role

• Teaching a Year 2 class as part of a collaborative job share.
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Working effectively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Maintaining accurate assessment records and contributing to school life.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
• Is organised, flexible and committed to providing high-quality teaching.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a job share arrangement.
