 The RoleYou’ll be involved in the manufacture and installation of ventilation systems and furniture within a large-scale engineering environment.Key responsibilities include:



Fabricate, Assemble and Install sheet metal items  


Confidently use of Welding and Fabrication equipment on Astue and/or Dreadnought class submarines whilst they are under construction 


Working with Pipe protection, glam plates, small support systems- Bunk spaces  


What You’ll Need
Time-served Sheet Metal Worker statusApprenticeship papers available for verificationHVAC manufacture and installation experienceUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and proceduresKnowledge of SHE Risk Assessments, PUWER and COSHHAbility to work at height and in confined spacesExperience within manufacturing, construction, engineering or marine environments
Marine or shipbuilding experience is advantageous.
Trade TestAll successful applicants will complete a practical trade test, including:
HVAC and furniture fault findingSquare-to-round developmentDuct ventilation development drawing assessment
