Warehouse Operative

Cogent Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our established manufacturing client based in Huddersfield on a temp to perm basis. The ideal candidate will come with a strong background in either warehousing or manufacturing.

Job details

• Permanent job opportunity for the right candidate (after 12 week qualifying period)
• £12.71 per hour
• Higher rate paid if FLT licence held/once refresher or assessment done on site
• Weekly pay
• 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
• 10:00-18:00

Duties

• Receiving and inspecting goods – unloading deliveries, verifying items against invoices & deliver notes & checking for damage & shortages
• Safely & efficiently storing goods in designated locations within the warehouse
• Recording incoming & outgoing stock and ensuring accurate stock levels
• Picking & Packing orders
• Loading & unloading goods from containers
• Maintaining clean & safe work environment always ensuring the warehouse is organised, tidy and safe in accordance with company health & safety procedures
• Recording all stock movement on a computerised database

Skills

• Must be able to complete manual handling duties so physical strength & stamina are important
• Attention to detail – must be able to accurately record information & prepare orders
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and drivers
• Good & accurate computer skills
