FLT Driver

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver for our Huddersfield based client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both forklift operations and manual handling tasks, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within the facility.

Role summary:

You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational flow and supporting the team in meeting production goals.

Shift/salary:

• Immediate starts available following successful interview
• Working Monday to Friday
• 10:00-18:00
• £12.71 per hour PLUS £20 per week FLT bonus
• Ongoing, temporary to permanent role
• Weekly pay

Responsibilities:

• Operate Forklift Trucks (FLT) for loading and unloading goods.
• Perform manual handling tasks as required, ensuring safe and efficient movement of materials.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and organization.
• Conduct regular checks on FLT equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.

Qualifications:

• Valid FLT license (counterbalance).
• Previous experience operating FLT and performing manual labor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
