Labourer

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for several reliable workers for our Sowerby Bridge based client to assist with labouring tasks. It is essential you are prepared to carry out heavy lifting, are reliable and punctual to site for an 08:15 start.

Shift/salary:

• Temporary ongoing placement
• Immediate start
• Monday to Thursday 08:15 – 17:00
• Friday 08:30 – 16:00
• Overtime required (minimum 1 hour per day this could be via a 07:15 start or 18:00 finish whichever suits – or may involve working some hours on a Saturday occasionally)
• 40 hour week (30 mins unpaid lunch)
• £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out heavy lifting and physical tasks
• Assist in moving stock safely and efficiently
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all health and safety guidelines
• Labouring, helping with building work
• Ripping out vinyl flooring
• Hygiene tasks, removing waste packaging, clearing public areas (sweeping, tidying car park etc.)

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting
• Reliable and punctual; must arrive on site by 08:15
• Previous labouring experience is an advantage but not essential
• Team player with a positive attitude
