Senior Finance Accountant
London | Predominantly Remote | Up to £65,000
We’re supporting a well-established purpose-led organisation seeking an experienced finance professional to join a growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with charity or grant-funded experience looking to take ownership of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of programmes.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Month-end and year-end close
- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Grant accounting and fund reporting
- Multi-currency accounting and financial reporting
- Cashflow management
- Supporting VAT and statutory compliance
- Working closely with auditors
- Improving finance processes and controls
About you
You’ll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be working towards)
- Previous experience within a charity, NGO or grant-funded environment
- Experience producing management accounts
- Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience using finance systems such as NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
