About the role
Learning & Development Assistant (22.5 hours per week)
Salary: £26,717 - £27,983 (full-time equivalent)
Salary: £16,246 - £17,016 (pro-rated 22.5 hours per week)
As a Learning & Development Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the growth and development of our employees. Working as part of our Human Resources team, you’ll help deliver a positive learning experience by coordinating training, maintaining learning records and providing excellent support to colleagues across the Council.
You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of learning and development activities, including administering our Learning Management System (LMS), supporting corporate induction programmes, coordinating training events and assisting with apprenticeships. You'll work with colleagues across the organisation to help create a positive and effective learning experience.
You’ll be highly organised, customer-focused and confident working with data and systems. Whether you’re arranging training courses, producing reports, monitoring mandatory training compliance or supporting apprenticeship programmes, you’ll have a key role in helping our employees develop the skills they need to succeed.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced administrator looking to develop a career in Learning & Development or HR.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2–3 days) and home working (2–3 days).
