The role and our team

Are you interested in joining a dynamic resourcing team that supports recruitment across both the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology? As a Resourcing Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an end‑to‑end recruitment service, ensuring vacancy holders and candidates receive a consistently high‑quality experience.

You will act as a trusted recruitment adviser to vacancy holders, supporting them with recruitment campaigns and onboarding of successful candidates. Engagement with hiring managers, candidates and third-party service providers will be required.

You will be joining a collaborative team that operates in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment where priorities shift quickly. A minimum of 40% office attendance is expected. You will need to be organised, adaptable and confident in handling complex queries, investigating and escalating where required. You will also contribute to staff and candidate information sessions and play an active role in improving recruitment processes and service delivery.

We value diversity of thought, background and experience and are committed to inclusive recruitment. We welcome applications from all communities and will make reasonable adjustments throughout the process. If you enjoy problem‑solving, collaboration and delivering excellent customer service, we encourage you to apply.

The Resourcing Adviser will also be participating in presenting at information sessions for staff and potential candidates. The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to quickly understand and apply recruitment policies within a fast‑paced operational context.
