Custody Nurse or Paramedic - part time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Custody Nurse or Paramedic to provide high-quality healthcare services within a custodial environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the medical needs of individuals in custody, delivering appropriate care, and ensuring the well-being of patients while adhering to strict protocols and guidelines. You will perform initial health assessments, manage minor injuries and illnesses, and provide ongoing health monitoring to ensure that all individuals receive the necessary medical attention during their stay. Your role will also involve documentation and maintaining accurate health records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

In addition to clinical duties, you will collaborate closely with law enforcement personnel and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to effectively convey medical information to non-medical personnel and work within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must be adaptable and able to handle challenging situations, as well as possess a valid nursing or paramedic qualification. Experience in emergency care, mental health, or working in a custodial setting is preferred.
