The Role: Transportation & Logistics Coordinator

Location: Peterlee (On-site)

Contract: 24 months fixed term assignment till Nov 2027

Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Excellent Pay Rates:

  • Day Shift: £19.55
  • Afternoon Shift (20% premium): £23.46
  • Night Shift (35% premium): £26.39
  • Overtime 1.5 (Mon-Sat): £29.33
  • Overtime 2 (Sundays): £39.10

Shift Timings:

  • Days: 08:00 - 16:00 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00 - 12:30 (Fri)
  • Afternoons: 16:00 - 00:00 (Mon-Thurs), 12:30 - 17:00 (Fri)
  • Nights: 00:00 - 08:00 (Mon-Thurs), 17:00 - 21:30 (Fri)


Role Overview

The Transportation & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of domestic and international transport operations, ensuring the timely and compliant movement of parts, kits, and finished goods. The role acts as a key liaison between carriers, customers, warehouse operations, and international suppliers to maintain service levels, support continuous improvement initiatives, and manage transportation compliance activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of freight booking systems, transportation management platforms, and SAP.
  • Experience managing international shipping documentation and export compliance processes.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and customer service.
