Job Title: Gates & Barriers Engineer
Location: Southampton
Length: Long-term rolling contract
Rate: £220 per day + package

Are you a Gates & Barriers Engineer based in Southampton looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Gates & Barriers Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding of automated gates, barriers, and access control systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security and access solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on automated gates, barriers, and associated access control equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on a variety of gates and barrier systems in a timely and professional manner.
* Complete remedial repairs and minor installations as required on site.
* Liaise with site contacts and end users to ensure works are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption.
* Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports using a handheld device or company system.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Proven experience servicing and maintaining automated gates, barriers, and access control systems.
* Familiarity with a range of manufacturers and systems, such as FAAC, BFT, Came, or similar.
* Experience reading wiring diagrams and carrying out basic electrical fault-finding.
* Full UK driving licence (essential for this field-based role).
* CSCS Card (desirable).
* DHF TS 011 or equivalent gates and barriers qualification (desirable).
