Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: South Wales (Cardiff and surrounding areas)
Length: Long-term contract
Are you a Fire and Security Service Engineer based in South Wales looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems — including Fire Alarms, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Emergency Lighting — across a variety of commercial and residential sites throughout the South Wales region. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing on Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and Emergency Lighting systems to industry standards.
* Diagnose and resolve faults across a range of fire and security systems in a timely and professional manner.
* Complete accurate service records and reports following each site visit, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* Liaise with site contacts and clients to minimise disruption during maintenance and fault-finding visits.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with BS 5839, BS EN 50131, and applicable industry regulations.
* Manage van stock and equipment effectively, ensuring tools and parts are maintained and replenished as required.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems in a field-based role.
* Proven hands-on experience with Fire Alarm systems, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Emergency Lighting.
* Experience fault-finding across a variety of manufacturers' systems and equipment.
* Full UK driving licence, as this is a field-based role covering the South Wales region.
* FIA Fire Alarm Servicing qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
