Medical Receptionist

Medical Receptionist, Chorlton Based.

Mon to Fri, £12.71 per hour + hol pay.

Immediate start, until the end of September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answering a high volume of telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
• Booking, cancelling, and amending appointments
• Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Processing prescriptions and administrative requests
• Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Providing general administrative support to the practice team
• Ensuring the reception area is welcoming and organised

Essentials

• Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting essential
• Knowledge of NHS primary care systems such as EMIS
• Experience of handling confidential information
