Employment Associate (1-4 PQE) | London

This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious Employment Associate to join a highly regarded, entrepreneurial law firm. Working as part of a close-knit and collaborative employment team, you will advise on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting as a strategic adviser to businesses ranging from high-growth start-ups and founder-led companies through to established international organisations and household consumer brands.

The Role

You will enjoy significant client exposure from day one and work closely with partners who are genuinely invested in developing the next generation of talent.

The work will include:

• Advising employers on day-to-day HR and employment issues
• Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements and executive arrangements
• Managing disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
• Advising on redundancies, restructurings and workforce change projects
• Supporting on senior executive exits and settlement agreements
• Handling Employment Tribunal claims and complex workplace disputes
• Advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions
• Working on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional projects, coordinating advice across international offices and trusted overseas counsel
• Supporting fast-growing businesses as they scale, hire internationally and navigate evolving employment legislation

About You

• UK Qualified employment lawyer with 1-4 years' PQE gained at a recognised employment practice
• Strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment work
• Confident managing client relationships and taking responsibility for matters
• Collaborative, personable and keen to be part of a genuinely supportive team environment
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the attitude to get stuck in
