We’re looking for an experienced Regional Sales Team Leader to join a growing national business, leading a team of field-based Area Sales Executives while continuing to manage and grow your own customer portfolio.

This is a true player-manager role, combining hands-on sales with leadership. You’ll coach, motivate and develop a team of approximately 5-10 field sales professionals, helping them maximise performance while driving your own commercial success.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for driving regional sales performance through both your own activity and the success of your team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of 5-10 field-based Area Sales Executives.
• Managing your own portfolio of customers while identifying and winning new business opportunities.
• Supporting your team with customer meetings, negotiations and sales opportunities.
• Conducting regular field coaching, one-to-ones and performance reviews.
• Driving sales growth, customer retention and account development across your region.
• Creating a positive, high-performance culture focused on results and customer service.
• Recruiting, mentoring and developing future talent within the sales team.
• Working closely with senior leadership to deliver regional sales objectives.
• Analysing regional performance and implementing strategies to maximise growth.

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a leadership role but still enjoys being out in the field selling.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience managing a field-based sales team.
• A successful background in B2B field sales.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing sales professionals.
• A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to spot growth opportunities.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate by example.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout your region.
