Legionella Risk Assessor

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments of water systems to identify potential sources of Legionella bacteria. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. You will perform detailed inspections and evaluations of water systems, including cooling towers, hot and cold water systems, and other associated equipment, to assess the risk of Legionella proliferation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of microbiology and water quality management, as well as experience in risk assessment methodologies. You will develop and implement effective control measures, provide recommendations for water system maintenance, and assist in the development of Legionella management plans. Additionally, you will engage with clients to communicate findings and deliver training on Legionella awareness and prevention strategies. Excellent report-writing skills are essential, as you will be responsible for documenting assessments and presenting your findings clearly and concisely.

To succeed in this role, you should possess relevant qualifications in health and safety, environmental science, or a related field, along with practical experience in water hygiene or public health. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team are essential. A valid driving license is required as travel to various sites will be necessary.
