Senior Purchase Ledger Location: Manchester  / Hybrid WorkingContract Type: PermanentPay: £30,000 - £32,000 Plus Annual BonusTHE ROLEAre you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking to join a growing business where accuracy, teamwork and career development are genuinely valued?We're recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Associate to join a busy, project-led finance team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time and financial records are maintained to a high standard. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll build strong supplier relationships, support month-end activities, maintain robust financial controls and play a key role in the smooth running of the finance function..Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficientlyMatching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notesCoding invoices to the correct nominal ledger and project codesReconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queriesPreparing weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS & Faster Payments)Maintaining supplier accounts and bank detailsAssisting with month-end close and reportingSupporting project cost allocation and contract expenditureProcessing employee expenses where requiredMaintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupporting year-end audit requests and finance administration
What We’re Looking For
Previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experienceStrong understanding of end-to-end purchase ledger processesExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience using finance or ERP systemsStrong communication skills and a proactive approachThe ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
Desirable Experience
Experience within a project-led, engineering, manufacturing or construction environment would be advantageous.Project costing experienceCIS processes experienceAccess Dimensions or similar ERP systems experience
