Gloucester, Gloucestershire Mech Tech Professionals Mechanical Technician – Gloucester - £48,675 Plus excellent benefits, plus overtime Location: Gloucester Salary: Up to £48,675 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits Job Type: Full Time, Permanent We're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team at a modern Energy from Waste facility in Gloucester. Working alongside the Mechanical Engineer, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of critical plant, including boiler plant, materials handling conveyors, steam turbine generators and associated equipment, helping to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the site. To be considered, you must have proven experience maintaining both boiler plant and materials handling conveyors within a heavy industrial or power generation environment. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance. * Fault find and repair mechanical plant to minimise downtime. * Maintain boiler plant, conveyors, steam turbines and associated equipment. * Produce RAMS and complete maintenance records using the CMMS. * Support plant improvement projects and annual outages. * Supervise contractors when required. * Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. The successful candidate * Extensive mechanical maintenance experience in Energy from Waste, power generation, CCGT, biomass, oil, coal or a similar heavy industrial environment. * Essential experience maintaining boiler plant. * Essential experience maintaining materials handling conveyors. * Strong mechanical fault-finding skills. * Good understanding of safe systems of work and health & safety legislation. * Experience using a CMMS is desirable.
