Are you a passionate and dedicated SENCO looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator to join our welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Shoreham-by-Sea.

The Role
As SENCO, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs and ensuring they receive the highest quality support and intervention.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
Identifying and supporting pupils with additional needs
Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies
Monitoring progress and ensuring effective provision is in place
Supporting staff through advice, training, and coaching
Managing Annual Reviews and EHCP processes
Ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and best practice is embedded throughout the school
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have previous SENCO experience within a primary school setting
Hold the NASENCO qualification or are willing to work towards it
Have an excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Are passionate about inclusion and achieving positive outcomes for all children
Have strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
