Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead

This is a senior technical role responsible for leading backend application development initiatives and driving architectural decisions for robust, scalable, and high-performance server-side systems. This role provides hands-on leadership in building enterprise-grade Java backend solutions, guiding development teams, and influencing technical strategy and best practices.

Responsibilities

* Lead design, development, and implementation of complex backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

* Own end-to-end delivery of backend components, from architectural design and coding to deployment and operational support.

* Drive architectural decisions for backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.

* Resolve high-impact technical challenges related to backend performance, data integrity, and distributed system interactions.

* Mentor junior and mid-level backend developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of excellence.

* Partner with stakeholders to define system enhancements, integrate with other systems, and implement strategic backend solutions.

* Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and scalability of backend applications through rigorous testing and review processes.

* Lead the implementation of advanced testing strategies, code reviews, and automated deployment pipelines for backend services.

* Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with governance, security, and regulatory requirements for server-side operations.

Qualifications

* 7-10+ years of experience in Java backend application development.

* Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Java, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Oracle, Unix, junit, shell scripting, git

* Strong experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs, data modeling with SQL and NoSQL databases, and distributed systems patterns.

* Proficiency with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and advanced DevOps practices.

* Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, define architectural patterns, and mentor backend development teams.

* Strong understanding of backend security best practices, performance tuning, and monitoring.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Education * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
