An established precision engineering manufacturer in Dorset is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join its growing machine shop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong offline programming experience who is looking for long-term career development within a busy and varied manufacturing environment.

The Role
As a CNC Miller, you’ll play a key part in the production of bespoke precision-engineered components for commercial and industrial applications.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Offline programming for CNC milling machines.
• Setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Working with Siemens and Haas controls.
• Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Machining a variety of materials.
• Supporting efficient production within a busy engineering environment.

What They’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Programmer.
• Strong offline programming experience.
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances.
• Confidence working with a range of materials.
• A proactive approach and an interest in long-term career progression.
