Machine Operator

Holt Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in Poole.

You’ll be operating an Machine Operator, machining marine birch plywood used in the production of high-end acoustic products. This is primarily a machine operating role, although you’ll be expected to carry out basic machine adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.

This is a full time role for 2 weeks temporary cover.

Paying Between £13 – £15 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities for the Machine Operator: 

• Operate an SCM Morbidelli 3-axis CNC router.
• Machine marine birch plywood to precise specifications.
• Make basic machine adjustments, including skimming components, altering tool depths, and changing tooling when required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.

The Ideal Candidate for the Machine Operator:

• Previous CNC operating experience (router or machining centre).
• Confident making basic tool and offset adjustments.
• Able to read technical drawings and work accurately.
• Available to start immediately and commit to the full 2-week assignment.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently.
