Initally Hybrid 1-2 days per week in Chesterfield, then fully remote.
Morson Edge are supporting a large retail organisation in the appointment of an experienced Digital Solutions Architect to join a major digital transformation programme.This is an excellent opportunity for an architect with a strong background in application development and cloud architecture to shape the design and delivery of enterprise-scale digital solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams and delivery partners, you will play a pivotal role in defining modern application architectures that support the organisation's long-term digital strategy.The Role
As the Digital Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing scalable, secure and resilient digital solutions from concept through to delivery. You'll provide architectural leadership across multiple programmes, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards while enabling development teams to deliver high-quality digital products.You'll work across a broad technology landscape, helping to drive the adoption of cloud-native architectures, APIs, modern software engineering practices and emerging technologies.Key Responsibilities


Design end-to-end solution architectures for digital products and application development initiatives.
Produce high-level and detailed solution designs, integration architectures and technical documentation.
Provide technical leadership to development teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, governance processes and technology roadmaps.
Architect secure, scalable cloud-based solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
Design integrations using APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
Support the adoption of modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps and CI/CD.
Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews and stakeholder design sessions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve business capabilities through innovation.
Essential Experience:

Designing enterprise-scale digital and application solutions.
Application architecture and modern software development practices.
Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud architecture.
API-led integration and enterprise integration patterns.
Microservices and cloud-native application design.
Agile delivery environments and DevSecOps practices.
Security-by-design principles and architecture governance.
Working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to shape solutions.
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
