Role:                Community Keyworker Based:            Maidstone Rate:               £20 umb Start Date:       ASAP Duration:        Temp ongoing Hours:             28  hours per week – Hybrid, 2 days  home working •  MUST HAVE EL1 VETTING (PRISON AND POLICE) AND WORKING IN A ROLE THAT REQUIRES VETTING WITHIN THE PAST 6 MONTHS Our client, a specialist charity, is looking for a Community Keyworker to join their team. You will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System, offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime-free lives.  Synopsis of duties: • Book Initial assessment, either via phone or email.  • Ensure initial assessments are booked in a timely manner in accordance with the contractual targets.  • Complete an initial assessment of risk and need, and provide one-to-one advocacy, support, and advice across all 9 rehabilitative pathways to women who are on probation, including community disposals and custody releases. • Maintain all contractual data for initial assessments. • Report completed Initial assessments to the Service Manager for Keyworker allocation.  • Provide an in-reach prison service to women via video call/telephone and face-to-face in the 12 weeks prior to leaving custody to assist in preparing them for release and meeting them at the gate upon release. • Develop and regularly review individual support plans across all 9 pathways of need. • Attend the different probation offices in the region you cover, integrate with National Probation Service staff and introduce the Minerva services to the client, encouraging referrals to the service and establishing positive relationships. • Contribute to creating and updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria. • Ensure that the organisation meets contractual obligations, including the prompt upload of records onto the Ministry of Justice portal alongside swift and accurate record keeping via the case management software (MODUS) • Be responsible for your own personal learning/development and keep up to date on research, relevant legislation, policy and practice, and other literature relevant to the role. • Participate in supervision, training and meetings as required, and assist in the development of services in line with agreed development plans. Essential Requirements • An in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. • Significant experience of working with women experiencing issues related to offending (e.g. homelessness, substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health or other relevant work area), preferably within a criminal justice setting • Experience of recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns • Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework. • Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months • MUST HAVE EL1 VETTING (PRISON AND POLICE) AND WORKING IN A ROLE THAT REQUIRES VETTING WITHIN THE PAST 6 MONTHS  Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency
