Senior Systems Engineer Salary: Dependent on experience Location: South Gloucestershire (two days per week on site) Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK security clearance. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the delivery of complex maritime defence programmes. Working within a highly regulated environment, you will oversee the integration, testing, safety assurance and acceptance of advanced mission systems across a range of cutting-edge projects. Responsibilities Reviewing technical documentation and safety artefacts. Supporting technical, commercial and programme discussions. Leading system integration, assurance, testing and acceptance activities. Supporting the delivery of weapons, communications and mission systems capabilities. Reviewing systems integration and safety assessments. Supporting trials, commissioning activities and capability upgrades. Identifying and mitigating technical and operational risks. Requirements Experience working on naval combat systems, maritime programmes or weapons engineering projects. Strong understanding of systems integration, safety assurance and trials activities. Experience working with a range of defence stakeholders within complex engineering environments. Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance. Desirable experience Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
