The Opportunity

Randstad is partnering with a fantastic school to find a dedicated individual to support students in their educational journey.

  • Location: Welcoming Mainstream Primary School
  • Role: Teaching Assistant - Supporting Students with Additional Needs
  • Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Your Impact: What You'll Do

You will be instrumental in helping students with Autism and/or ADHD fully engage with school life. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Tailored Support: Providing crucial 1:1 or small group assistance to pupils to help them access the curriculum and participate confidently.
  • Emotional & Social Development: Helping students manage their emotions, build social skills, and develop self-confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Implementation: Assisting the Class Teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and faithfully implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
  • Positive Environment: Fostering positive relationships and promoting an inclusive, engaging, and independent learning environment for all pupils.

We're Looking For

While formal qualifications aren't mandatory, a genuine commitment to supporting children is essential.

  • Passion is Paramount: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Experience (Desirable): Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable, but not essential-we welcome candidates with the right attitude!
  • Key Skills: Ability to assist with tailored learning, implement plans, and foster positive relationships.
  • Compliance: Must have or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and possess the Right to Work in the UK.
