Location: Head Office, Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary: £13.00 – £15.50 per hour, dependent on experience
Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week) + Additional hours available
Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch

The Opportunity

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing client in Avonmouth who is looking for an Electrical Sales Support professional to join their expanding team. This isn’t just a desk job. You’ll be the friendly voice on the phone, the person who sorts out orders, the one who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. And occasionally, you’ll get out from behind the desk to visit customers on-site-because building real relationships matters here.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be supporting the electrical sales team across the board-from handling customer enquiries and preparing quotes, to processing orders, managing stock, and even getting involved with warehouse duties when needed. No two days will be the same.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Responding to customer enquiries on products, pricing, availability, and delivery-professionally and promptly

• Obtaining pricing from suppliers and preparing accurate customer quotes

• Processing customer orders from entry through to dispatch and invoicing

• Generating and issuing invoices accurately and on time

• Supporting with returns, credit notes, and stock control

• Liaising with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability

• Raising purchase orders to maintain stock levels

• Getting hands-on with ad hoc picking, packing, and receipting goods

• Assisting with periodic stock takes

• Proactively identifying sales opportunities with new and existing customers

• Visiting customer sites periodically to build strong relationships

• Researching potential new product ranges with the Electrical Manager

About You

You’re organised, personable, and not afraid to get your hands dirty. You’re comfortable working autonomously but also enjoy being part of a close-knit team.

You’ll bring:

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-you build relationships easily

• A customer-focused mindset with sound commercial awareness

• Strong planning and time management skills

• A keen eye for detail and high standards when it comes to paperwork and records

• A proactive, can-do attitude-you spot what needs doing and get on with it

• Flexibility and adaptability-you’re happy to muck in with whatever needs doing

• Industry experience is preferred but not essential-attitude matters more

• A full, clean driving licence is preferred, as you’ll occasionally visit customer sites

Please note: As this is a small team, there’s an expectation of flexibility-you’ll be carrying out various tasks to support the smooth running of the department.
