Leicester, UK Maintech Recruitment Location; Leicester We are working with a well-known food manufacturing business in Leicester, part of a large-scale FMCG operation with a strong reputation in the market. The site runs a large, well-resourced engineering team of over 75 engineers, with continuous improvement genuinely at the heart of how the business operates. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern, carrying out reactive maintenance and PPMs, diagnosing faults and supporting continuous improvement projects across a fast-paced production environment. It would suit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to genuinely develop their career – whether that's building electrical or PLC knowledge, or moving into people or projects management further down the line. Responsibilities of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Carry out reactive maintenance and PPMs using a strong mechanical skill set Diagnose faults and identify the root cause of breakdowns Support continuous improvement projects across the site Work efficiently with the production team to minimise downtime Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times Skills & Qualifications of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Minimum Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification (C&G, NVQ, BTEC) Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment Understanding of SCADA control systems and PLC fault-finding advantageous Benefits of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Salary: £59,950 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days & nights) Quarterly bonus incentive Company pension of up to 15% Full career map and progression routes Healthcare benefits, including critical illness cover and market-leading health and wellbeing support 23 days holiday, with the option to buy or sell additional days If you feel this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is right for you, please contact Emma Devereux at Maintech Recruitment on (phone number removed) for more information or click apply.
