Senior Account Director

Most branding agencies talk about impact. This one publishes it. When they rebrand a business, they put the numbers on record. That commercial candour is rare, and it changes what this job is. You won’t sell work on promises; you’ll sell it on proof.

This is a Senior Client Partner role at a studio of around 38 people – deliberately kept that size, run on a “getting better, not bigger” principle, 18 years in. They’re building out their client partnerships function and want this hire to help raise its standard.

The Role
You own client relationships and grow them. Not project delivery, but the longer game: the goal is to become the person clients bring in before a brief exists: a trusted advisor who understands their business, their ambitions, and their stakeholders well enough to shape opportunities and challenge thinking.

You’ll lead commercially as well as creatively. That means identifying where accounts can grow, negotiating fees with conviction, building relationships that reach beyond day-to-day contacts to C-suite level, and translating what clients need into briefs that give creative teams real clarity. You’ll also contribute to new business and to lifting standards across the wider team. Part of the remit is using AI and smarter workflows to cut low-value admin, so more of your time goes to strategy and relationships.

The Person
You’re a Senior Account Director, or Client Partner, at a strong brand or branding agency. You have senior brand agency experience and a genuine track record of growing accounts, negotiating fees, and building senior client relationships. 

You’re ready to lead a team eventually, though this role starts as a growth-and-relationships remit, and you bring the consultative instinct: asking sharp questions, connecting dots, arriving with ideas rather than status updates.
