FLT Counterbalance Truck Driver – Stourport-on-Severn

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Truck Driver – Stourport-on-Severn to join our well-established client based in Stourport-on-Severn.

This is an excellent opportunity offering £13.50 per hour, weekly pay, rotating Monday to Friday shifts, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and long-term ongoing work with genuine opportunities for progression.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, Counterbalance Forklift Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, FLT Driver, Warehouse Operative, Warehouse FLT Driver, Goods In Operative, Despatch Operative, Stores Operative or Material Handler.

Shifts

 • Monday – Friday

 • Rotating weekly shifts:

  • 06:00 – 14:00

  • 14:00 – 22:00

Rates of Pay

 • £13.50 per hour

 • Weekly pay

 • Overtime available

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Truck Driver, your duties will include:

 • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently

 • Loading and unloading vehicles

 • Picking orders and moving stock around the warehouse

 • Receiving, checking and booking in incoming deliveries

 • Storing pallets safely within the warehouse

 • Carrying out daily FLT safety checks and reporting any defects

 • Checking the quantity and visual quality of incoming and outgoing goods

 • Organising stock ready for dispatch

 • Supporting general warehouse duties when required

 • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

The skills required as an FLT Counterbalance Truck Driver are:

 • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent)

 • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck

 • Good communication skills

 • Excellent attention to detail

 • Strong awareness of health and safety

 • Good organisational skills

 • Reliable and punctual

 • Flexible approach to work

 • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

 • Full site induction

 • FLT assessment before starting

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
