Fabricator / WelderCaterpillar is recruiting experienced Fabricator/Welders to join its manufacturing facility in Larne, producing generator sets, enclosures and associated power generation equipment. This is an opportunity to join a global engineering manufacturer, working within a skilled fabrication team on a four-day working week with competitive rates of pay and overtime available. Pay:Day Shift: £17.95 per hour Night Shift: £23.93 per hour Overtime (first 10 hours): £26.93 per hour Overtime (after 10 hours): £35.90 per hour Hours 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Thursday) Days:Monday: 07:00 - 17:15 Tuesday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45 Nights:Monday: 21:00 - 07:15 Tuesday - Thursday: 21:00 - 06:45 Candidates must be flexible to work both day and night shifts. Responsibilities:
MIG weld and fabricate generator set components and sub-assembliesFabricate and modify bases, silencers, tanks, containers and enclosuresRead and interpret engineering drawingsPlan work methods and fabrication sequencesRepair and rework production componentsMaintain Caterpillars quality, safety and 5S standardsEssential RequirementsNVQ Level 3, completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Fabrication & WeldingPrevious MIG welding and fabrication experienceAbility to read engineering drawingsGood attention to detail and commitment to qualityWillingness to work overtime and rotating shifts
Desirable:
Experience within a manufacturing or lean environmentExperience using overhead cranes and slinging equipmentCompetent using measuring equipment including tape measures and engineers squaresAbility to work at height
