Position: Flexographic Printer Location: Aylesford, Kent Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £34,000-£39,000 per year About the business: My client is looking for an experienced Flexographic Printer to join our busy manufacturing facility in Aylesford. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking business with a strong focus on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for operating CI flexographic printing presses while maintaining the highest standards of print quality, efficiency, and health & safety. Key Responsibilities of a Flexographic Printer: • Operate 8-colour CI flexographic printing presses. • Set up print jobs, monitor print quality, and make adjustments as required. • Work efficiently to production schedules while minimising downtime. • Carry out routine machine checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements. • Complete production documentation and ensure effective shift handovers. • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with BRCGS, quality, and health & safety procedures. Shift Pattern This role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern: • 06:00 - 14:00 • 14:00 - 22:00 • 22:00 - 06:00 Requirements for a Flexographic Printer: The successful candidate will have: • Proven experience operating CI flexographic printing presses (essential - stack press experience alone is not sufficient). • Experience printing on a variety of substrates, including foil and paper. • Knowledge of solvent and water-based inks. • Experience running high-speed printing presses. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. • A proactive, reliable approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and colour measurement systems would be advantageous.
